The Australia Significant Investor Visa was launched by the Government in 2012. It offers a streamlined Australia PR route for HNWIs (High Net Worth Individuals) through investment immigration. It does not offer direct Australia Citizenship. However, Investor Visa holders can apply for Citizenship after 3 to 4 years of residency including 12 months as PR holders.

Is it required to pass points tests or be under a certain age limit to participate in any stream?

If you applied for a visa in the Significant Investor or Premium Investor stream, you won’t have to take a points test or fulfil any age limits. All of the other streams, on the other hand, require an applicant to meet particular requirements set forth by the immigration authorities. You can check your points by using my point calculator online.
